graduate student &amp; instructional technology consultant. I used to be a regular participant in storytelling nights in Madison, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"margin-top:3.5rem\"><strong>Writing about Open Education<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While working as an instructional technology consultant at UW-Madison, I became increasingly involved in digital publishing, especially in relation to open educational resources and openly licensed textbooks. The resulting interview was published in <em>Contemporary Literature<\/em> | <a href=\"http:\/\/steelwagstaff.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/02\/roberson_interview.pdf\">pdf<\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2010, I published an interview with the poet <a href=\"http:\/\/steelwagstaff.com\/my-favorite-artists-series-1-mark-nowak\/\">Mark Nowak<\/a> in <em>Contemporary Literature<\/em> | <a href=\"http:\/\/steelwagstaff.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/02\/nowak_interview.pdf\">pdf<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Storytelling<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When we lived in Madison some friends of ours hosted regular storytelling nights whose format was based on the engaging, extemporaneous style made famous by <a title=\"The Moth\" href=\"http:\/\/themoth.org\/\">the Moth<\/a>. Laurel and I loved attending these events and often participated as storytellers. Each of us told our version of the same story while the other person was out of the room, so the audience was able to hear back to back versions but we didn&#8217;t hear each other&#8217;s stories
