If you&#8217;re not already familiar with it, Edge Effects is an outstanding blog run by CHE [the <a title=\"Center for Culture, History, and Environment\" href=\"http:\/\/nelson.wisc.edu\/che\/\" target=\"_blank\">Center for Culture, History, and Environment<\/a>], a group that belongs to the\u00a0University of Wisconsin-Madison\u2019s <a title=\"Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies\" href=\"http:\/\/nelson.wisc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies<\/a>, which I&#8217;ve been a proud grad student affiliate and member for some time now. In response to their invitation, I wrote a short essay about <a href=\"http:\/\/edgeeffects.net\/lorine-niedecker-ecopoetics\" target=\"_blank\">Lorine Niedecker<\/a>, my favorite Wisconsin writer, and ecopoetics, a term of art in my home discipline of English literary studies.
